User Research: Privacy Notice
Token.com respects and is committed to safeguarding the privacy and security of your personal data. This Privacy Notice outlines our practices regarding the collection, use, and protection of your personal data when you participate in Token.com User Research activities, including but not limited to, interviews and surveys.

Data Collection
1.1 Upon your participation in our research initiatives, we might collect and process the following personal data:
Basic contact details including your name, email address, phone number and geographical location.
Any supplementary information you willingly share with us during research activities.
Responses to research inquiries. Although initially linked to your personal data, these will be detached from your personal details once processed. Only anonymized or aggregated data will be used for reporting purposes.
Consent
2.1 Token.com will only gather and process personal data for research purposes with your explicit consent. We ensure you are well-informed about the ways in which your data will be utilised. Your consent is always acquired through a clear affirmative action such as proceeding with a survey or a recorded verbal agreement during an interview. We do not process data in ways inconsistent with the initial provided information.
2.2 Our research activities are exclusively directed towards individuals aged 18 and above.
Withdrawal of Consent
3.1 If you've granted your consent for specific data processing, you reserve the right to retract it at any given time. To do so, please email us at dpo@token.com. Upon receiving your withdrawal request, we'll cease the processing of your data for the initially agreed purposes.
Data Sharing
4.1 Token.com assures that personal data gathered during research activities won't be transferred or shared to third-party data controllers. Only anonymized insights derived from the data will be used internally to guide our service improvements.
Software and Tools
5.1 If we deploy any software accessing your personal data for research, we will notify you and update this Privacy Notice. These tools are subject to our due diligence to ensure compliance with Information Security and Data Protection standards.

Data Storage and Retention
6.1 Your data will be securely stored within regions where Token.com or our associated third-party service providers operate. We commit to holding onto your personal data for a maximum of 5 years to continually enhance our services. Beyond this, data will be anonymized and any associated personal data will be securely erased.
6.2 Any video call interviews for research will be recorded solely for internal purposes. While they won't be shared externally, they will be stored for 5 years. Participants can opt to turn off video feeds, allowing only audio to be captured.
6.3 Token.com will not disclose any individual data acquired during research sessions. All gathered data will be evaluated and shared as anonymous insights internally to inform our product development.
