All transfers are first mastered to miniDV (click here to learn more about miniDV), with a tape master included in the price of the transfer.

Film transfer (8mm, Super 8 or 16mm): $0.14/ft.
Film w/sound (8mm, Super 8 or 16mm): $0.16/ft.

Use this guide to help you estimate the length of your film.
Reel Sizes (diameter):
3" Reel = 50 ft
5" Reel = 200 ft
7" Reel = 400 ft
Duration: For 8mm film, 1000 feet of film is roughly equal to one hour of footage. For 16mm film, 1000 feet of film is roughly equal to 27 minutes of footage.
Once you've transfered your film to miniDV, you can have Token produce a copy in nearly any format, common options are:
• DVD: $35 for up to 1 hour, $45 for up to 2 hours.
• Digital file for video editing and web playback, click for Capture to Hard drive.
• Custom DVD chapter menus: $75/hr

Photo Video Montages, Photo Slideshows with Music:
You've seen them at weddings and birthday party's. Token Media has created thousands of slideshow videos over the years. Come in and work with our video editor and create a one of a kind video about your friends and family. Add old film clips or segments from your camcorder tapes to help add a burst of life to your slideshow. Our editor will design custom graphic title screens for your video to help introduce different sections. We have a whole library of effects and animations which give you more bang for your buck.
Here's How to Prepare Your Photo Video Montage Project:
PICTURES: Number your pictures on the back, in the order you would like, with pencil. Average picture duration is 5 seconds.
MUSIC: Decide what music you would like and in what sequence. Bring your CD's in with your order. We can help if your having trouble deciding.
TITLES: Title screens are typically placed at the beginning and end of the video and also in between sections. They are usually placed over our stock animated backgrounds. They also can be placed over pictures. Uses for titles include: Introduction to video or section, congratulations or thank you, description for special pictures, Dates, names, or comments.
VIDEO: If video clips are to be included, please make a note as to where the clips are on the tape. Use your time counter (hrs:min:sec) on your VCR and mark the in and out points of your clip along with a brief description. You also have the option of booking video editing time at Token and choosing your clips then.
